Big news: AnkouChess is officially on Bluesky. If you're on the platform, you can now follow us and get daily chess content delivered straight to your feed — no extra apps, no newsletters, no noise.
What We Post
We publish two automated posts every single day, 365 days a year:
The Daily Puzzle (8:00 UTC)
Every morning, we share the same puzzle that appears on ankouchess.com/daily-puzzle. The post includes:
- A visual board showing the position
- Who's to move (White or Black)
- The puzzle rating so you know what you're getting into
- A direct link to solve it on AnkouChess
It's the perfect way to start your day — 2 minutes of tactical thinking before your morning coffee. And because it's the same puzzle as on the site, you can compare with friends who also solve it.
The Opening of the Day (9:00 UTC)
One hour later, we post a chess opening. Not random — we cycle through our entire library of 146 openings, one per day. Each post includes:
- The opening name and ECO code
- A visual board with the main line position
- Difficulty level and key strategic ideas
- A direct link to the full study page on AnkouChess
Over time, you'll be exposed to openings you might never have explored on your own. Think of it as a daily dose of opening culture.
Why Bluesky?
We wanted a social presence that felt right for our community. Bluesky is open, growing fast, and has a strong chess community forming. It's also decentralized — which aligns with our philosophy of keeping things free and open.
No ads in our posts. No engagement bait. Just clean, useful chess content every day.

If you're not on Bluesky yet, you don't need it to enjoy AnkouChess — everything we post there is also available on the site. But if you want chess in your social feed without the noise, it's the easiest way to stay in the loop.
See you on the board.
